How we got here
We started from the construction side. Quantity surveying, estimating, project management — the kind of work where a wrong number costs real money and a missed deadline costs more. That background shaped how we think about software: it needs to be reliable, it needs to be fast, and it needs to respect the people using it.
When we saw how much time our peers were losing to manual processes, broken spreadsheets, and software that clearly wasn't built by anyone who'd ever set foot on a job site — we started building alternatives. That turned into Tarn.
Today we combine deep construction industry experience with genuine software engineering capability. We design, build, and maintain custom tools — from estimating platforms to AI-powered document processing — for clients who need something better than what's on the market.
How we work
We keep things small on purpose. You won't get handed off to a junior team after the sales pitch. The people you talk to are the people who build your software.
